Colleen McCreeryRegistered Massage Therapist

    biography

The former television & radio broadcaster craved a change and new purpose in her career. Inspired by her family, Colleen turned to the medical world in 2016 and never looked back. Graduating with Honours from the Georgian College Massage Therapy program in 2018, and then a member of the Dean’s Council, has inspired Colleen to stick with the program and love the path to becoming an RMT. Utilizing techniques based on Swedish massage practices Colleen uses a combination of low-grade joint mobilizations, deep tissue massage, connective tissue techniques, myofascial release therapy, trigger point therapy, hydrotherapy, and superficial fluid techniques to create individualized treatment plans for every client to promote healing and pain relief so her clients can achieve optimum wellness.

Colleen is a member in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario as well as the Registered Massage Therapist’s association on Ontario. Her studies have given her experience in fibromyalgia clinics, sports massage, prenatal and pregnancy massage, complex care clinics, and geriatrics care at the Bob Rumball Home for the Deaf in Barrie. Colleen had a fascination, dedication and passion for the palliative care wing when she had her rotation at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie.

In the future Colleen wants to focus her practice with those who are First Responders, in EMS, and the Canadian Armed Forces including Veterans. She’s excited to expand her practice by continuing her education to include more complimentary modalities as tools to improve her treatments for her clients.

    • I have been working with Eddy for almost a year and a half now. He has given me the tools to improve my flexibility strength and overall better health. I would recommend him to anyone looking to improve and get back on the court or what ever sport you wish to play. He knows how to make that happen!

    • The sessions went great. Eddy made sure that we targetted the areas that I wanted to improve on and made sure to tailer the workouts appropriately. Great trainer and defintely cares for his clients!Would definitely train with Eddy again if promotions came back!

    • His classes are amazing! They've motivated me to stick to the gym regularly! They're fun, challenging and overall a great time! The guidance from Eddy is great, if you have questions or aren't getting something right he's there to guide you in the right direction. The classes can be pretty intense at times but it definitely pushes you to different levels. As far as personal training he's the best trainer I've ever had. He has taught me so much, the one on one time was very prepared and also very challenging. Eddy pushed me to levels I didn't know I had and continues to do so. I always recommend him to anyone that asks me!
