biography
Melanie loves to travel, write, and ride her bike. Since graduating from Ryerson’s Journalism program in 2000, she has been doing all three of these: riding her bike throughout the globe, she writes stories for publications such as Mountain Life Magazine. The Globe and Mail, The Toronto Star, Outside Magazine and more. Her favourite stories include riding 900-kms across South Africa, climbing Italy’s Sardinian mountains, breathing heavy in high altitude Peruvian mountains and most recently, mountain biking the southern Himalayas in Nepal. When not teaching spin, and travelling, she teaches writing at Western University in London, Ontario.
